Preserved nature, endless beaches
With 47 km of coastline, the Maraú Peninsula is home to white sand beaches, endless coconut groves, mangroves, rivers, lagoons, and coral reefs. It is a territory of abundant biodiversity, where the Atlantic Forest meets the sea in perfect harmony.
Algodões, home to the Jardim das Bromélias, is one of the most tranquil and special beaches in the region, with unique natural pools formed at low tide.
Boat trips around the islands
One of the most beautiful ways to explore the region is by boat. Speedboat tours depart from the "Inner Sea," passing by neighboring islands such as Sapinho, Goió, and Campinho, and arriving at the famous Tremembé Waterfall, where the boat can dock very close to the cascade.
Some itineraries also extend the trip to Boipeba, another paradise in Bahia, perfect for a day trip. For family or friend groups, it's possible to charter a private boat and experience this tour with even more exclusivity.

Cassange Lagoon and the Bromeliad Trail
Very close to Algodões, the Cassange Lagoon is an invitation to a freshwater swim amidst lush greenery. From there, follow the Bromeliad Trail to Taipus de Fora and Barra Grande, an enchanting route that combines ocean views, native forest, and giant bromeliads along the way. A true gift of nature!
Natural Pools and Coral Reefs
During low tide, the coast turns into a natural aquarium. In Taipu de Fora, the tide pools formed along the reefs are famous for snorkeling. But those staying in Algodões may have the privilege of swimming in even calmer, more preserved natural pools, far from the crowds.
